Our client has an incredible opportunity for you to take your career to new heights with a live-in role as Caravan Park General Manager at Anglesea Caravan Park. Located right on the beach, the tourist park consists of a variety of cabins, 200 grassed sites as well as bush camping and state of the art facilities.
The park is managed by the Great Ocean Road Coast and Parks Authority who manage a wide variety of public land and are the largest accommodation provider along the Great Ocean Road with over 800,000 visitor nights annually.
Reporting to the Accommodation Services Manager, this is a “hands-on” role where you will oversee the day to day operations of the park, performing administration and maintenance duties whilst ensuring exceptional guest experiences. Key Responsibilities include:
- Supervision and training of staff: Foster a positive work environment and motivate staff to deliver outstanding customer service.
- Ensure that park facilities, amenities and grounds are kept to the highest standards, supervising contractors and prioritising maintenance work to create a safe and inviting environment for all visitors.
- Ensure the park is fully compliant with all OHS policies and legislation
- Contribute to the park’s upgrade planning and implementation process
- Banking and financial reconciliations, ordering stock and inventory control of consumables
- Respond to after hours emergency calls, ensure appropriate security services are provided and act as the park’s fire warden
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in managing caravan parks or similar operations
- Experience using the RMS booking system is preferred
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills with a keen eye for detail and commitment to excellence
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with guests, staff and the Great Ocean Road Coast and Parks Authority
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities and solve problems efficiently in a fast paced environment
- Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays
- Currently have (or be willing to obtain) a police check, working with children’s check and first aid certificate
- A passion for the outdoors and nature
In return you will be provided with:
- A competitive salary of $86,595 plus superannuation
- Accommodation in a 3 bedroom residence with fenced yard (dogs welcome; sorry no cats)
- Utilities including gas, electricity and water
- 2 days off per week (may vary depending on roster)
