Caretakers Australia was the brainchild of Cliodhna Rae back in 1996. Already an industry identity having started CRC Traveljobs, Australia’s first, and longest running Travel Recruitment company some ten years earlier, Mrs Rae recognised a glaring need for managers in Motels and Holiday parks to take a break and set about developing a relief management service specifically for them. “I recall staying in a country motel while on regional business and the poor owner operator was just about dead on their feet.  They said they hadn’t been able to get away from the desk for over a year as there was no one that had the expertise that they could entrust with their business.” And then and there Caretakers Australia was born…

Not long after that we received our first motel client, then park client and in recent years the service has broadened to include serviced apartments, over 50s communities, time-share resorts, even self storage facilities!

Caretakers Australia has become the trusted name in the provision of relief management staff nationally with our staff able to access a painstakingly maintained vast database of candidates and clients going back nearly three decades.

The knowledge and skills developed in the accommodation sector over this period has also led to Caretakers Australia being the preeminent Industry Recruitment company for permanent and executive search assignments.  These services can include everything from high profile and highly publicised and promoted  management recruitment assignments  to confidential off-market search and selection assignments.
