Great opportunity available in sunny Queensland for a Caretaker to work at the popular Beenleigh Showgrounds & Caravan Park, located conveniently between Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
The showgrounds are home to the Beenleigh Show, Hot Rod Shows, Gem Festivals, Swap meets, Markets and Fairs. Adjacent to the Showgrounds is the Caravan park which provides a large comfortable area with great facilities for travellers and tourists.
As the Caretaker, you will take pride in ensuring the park is well maintained and clean. No reservation system experience is required in this position, just physical fitness and good old fashioned friendly customer service!
Duties include:
Daily cleaning of two amenities blocks
Taking bookings (manual booking system)
Collecting payments
Showing people to their van sites
Mowing and gardening
Maintenance
Emptying wheelie bins on the grounds into a skip with a tractor.
Opening and closing heavy chains to pavilions
Some extra duties on market day and during local shows
The role (approx. 38 hours per week) would be comfortably handled by one person or shared between a couple. You will have the support of a groundsman and your evenings free to go out if you wish. Even your pets are welcome!
In return you will be provided with a salary of $55k plus superannuation, a lovely 3 bedroom residence plus utilities along with 1 full day off per week.
